Our Programs
Board and Train
Have limited time? Perhaps you have a challenging dog or challenges in your life. Maybe you just want to get things
"right" with your dog! Board and Train is one of our most successful training options for people and
dogs. Your dog comes to our place for a stay lasting anywhere from 2 weeks on. Many people find this program to
be the most beneficial. A groundwork of good manners is established and, if needed, focused training is provided
to address specific needs. Training is consistent and provides you and your dog with a wonderful foundation to
build on. The "people" training is a vital part of this package and provides the bridge to understanding
and working with your four footed friend.
Puppy Fast Track
When do you start training? As soon as your little bundle comes home you begin training. Potty training is usually
high on the list! Puppies also need to know what behaviors are acceptable (chewing on toys) and what ones are not
(chewing on you!). Although small and cuddly, puppies are prime candidates for learning bad habits that may be
hard to change later. Basic good manners are easy for puppies to learn — fast! This program is only 10 days long and gets your puppy on
the right road to becoming a well behaved dog. Many "new" dog families lack the experience, patience
and/or time to get the ball rolling. We stress the importance of making training fun but firm and incorporating
consistency to help with housebreaking and behavior issues.
In-Home Training
Some people just have a few questions or issues that are best addressed where the action is — in home! It's amazing
how many behaviors are tied to the routines of our homes. Many dog "issues" are simply a need to re-arrange
our "people" approach. This program is highly effective and is included as a part of our Board and Train
Program.
Group Training
Know a few people with dogs that would benefit from a series of training sessions? Group training is a more cost
effective option! Programs are tailored to each groups needs and are a minimum of four sessions long. We can cover
everything from the basics to advanced training and always keep it fun by including games and tricks.
Boarding
A Family Dog is pleased to offer boarding in our new facility. We are a small facility that focuses on quality
care for all our guests. Radiant floor heating and excellent ventilation ensure our indoor runs are comfortable
and healthy. All our guests are outside, playing, sniffing and getting loved on four plus times a day. To continue
to provide each guest with a clean, safe environment, all guests are required to provide proof of current vaccination
and immunization to kennel cough.

Pick-up and Drop- off is between 10 am and 3 pm. To ensure
our best, we ask you to schedule your time prior to arriving or departing. |
Brush-Up Boarding
Have the basics down and just want to refresh? Returning guests and new guests with established good manners are
welcome to come for short stays that include a brush up on good manners.
